Job summary

Boutique Recruiting is seeking a Commercial HVAC Installation Technician to install, retrofit, and energy-efficiency upgrades on commercial systems across Northern California. This field-based role covers units from packaged systems to chillers and VFDs, with most projects during daytime hours and technicians returning home nightly.

The ideal candidate has hands-on installation experience, a strong safety mindset, can work independently, and owns professional HVAC tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on HVAC installation experience.
• Commercial HVAC experience strongly preferred; transitions from residential welcomed.
• Demonstrated competence with installation, equipment, and field work.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must own professional HVAC tools and hold a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel to Northern California project sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, retrofit, and upgrade commercial HVAC equipment and energy-efficiency systems.
• Work with packaged units, chillers, cooling towers, compressors, condensers, evaporators, VFDs, and related components.
• Install and work with HVAC controls and software for performance and energy efficiency.
• Perform field work at commercial buildings, warehouses, and food-processing facilities.
• Install ductwork fashioned by external fabricators when needed for projects.
• Troubleshoot installation and retrofit challenges, maintaining workmanship and safety.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members to complete work efficiently.
