Job summary

Service 1st Contractors in Southern California seeks an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to join our team. You will diagnose, install equipment and perform repairs, with emphasis on reliability and safety on job sites.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with RTU troubleshooting, rooftop unit installation, startups, and preventive maintenance, plus the ability to read mechanical plans and wiring diagrams. Valid driver’s license and a strong work ethic are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift heavy weight and operate scissor lift.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, detail-oriented.
• Ability to read mechanical plans and specifications.
• Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams.
• Ability to work in a timely manner.
• Good driving record.

Responsibilities

• RTU Troubleshooting for 10-25 ton units
• Installation of commercial rooftop units with minimal supervision
• Startups and routine preventive maintenance
• Inspect, diagnose and perform equipment repairs and replacements
• Low voltage controls and wiring
• Must be familiar with and practice all safety and conduct standards as required on the job
• Must maintain a clean job site
