Job summary

CaptiveAire, a leading HVAC manufacturer, seeks a field service technician in Jacksonville, FL to commission and maintain commercial HVAC equipment. You will diagnose issues, read schematics, and perform tests on site while ensuring safety and compliance with EPA regulations. A driver’s license is required, with travel to PA for training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience servicing commercial HVAC systems.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (required).
• OSHA 10 Certification (suggested).
• EPA Universal Certification (suggested).
• Strong understanding of single/three-phase electrical systems; ability to read wiring schematics; knowledge of refrigeration cycles.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning of CaptiveAire Equipment: verify operation by testing airflows and reviewing installations.
• Service & Repair: troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and repair HVAC/R systems.
• Maintenance: perform routine preventive maintenance on commercial mechanical systems.
• Diagnostics: read electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals to diagnose issues.
• Customer Care: communicate with facility managers and owners regarding status and repairs.
• Compliance & Safety: adhere to EPA regulations and safety standards.
