Job summary

Total Comfort Group is seeking a qualified HVAC technician to service and diagnose commercial systems on client sites in the Port Charlotte, FL area. You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and tune-ups on RTUs, split systems, and package units while documenting findings and recommendations for customers.

Applicants should have 3+ years of experience, EPA Universal Certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting proficiency.
• Experience with RTUs, split systems, and package units is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems and components.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and tune-ups on RTUs, split systems, package units, heat pumps, air handlers, and ventilation systems.
• Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, refrigerant, airflow, and control issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Perform startup, testing, and commissioning after repairs or installs.
• Communicate findings and repair recommendations to customers and complete service documentation promptly.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and industry regulations; participate in the on-call rotation as needed.
