ABM Industries is seeking an HVAC Mechanic / Building Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize HVAC and building systems in a large commercial entertainment and public venue environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on HVAC expertise, compressor replacement, refrigerant handling, and in-house repairs. Typical shift is Monday–Friday, 7am–3:30pm, with hourly pay ranging from $41.50 to $50 and weekly pay.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Experience replacing compressors and major components.
• Experience recovering and charging refrigerants.
• Ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, package units, air handlers, exhaust systems, and associated controls.
• Diagnose and replace HVAC compressors and major system components.
• Recover refrigerant, perform leak detection, evacuate systems, and recharge equipment in accordance with EPA regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and building mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control-related HVAC issues.
• Perform repairs in-house whenever possible to minimize equipment downtime and service costs.
• Monitor and maintain building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC control systems.
• Respond to service requests and emergency equipment failures.
• Support the operation and maintenance of building engineering systems, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life safety equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are required.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
