Job summary
100Hires, Inc. in Charleston, SC is seeking an experienced HVAC Duct Mechanic for commercial construction projects. You will install, assemble, and fit duct systems, read blueprints, and coordinate with other trades to keep projects on schedule.
Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, and securing ductwork, installing sheet metal fittings, dampers, and supports, and maintaining safety and quality on site. A strong work ethic and reliable transportation are required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an HVAC Duct Mechanic in commercial construction.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow installation specifications.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools for ductwork installation.
- Must provide all required hand tools, power tools, and PPE.
- Physical ability to work at heights and lift materials.
- Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and fabricate HVAC ductwork in commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layouts.
- Install sheet metal duct, fittings, transitions, dampers, and related components.
- Measure, cut, fit, and secure ductwork per specs.
- Install duct supports, hangers, and hardware.
- Coordinate with other trades to ensure progress.
- Follow safety requirements.
