Job summary

Flow Building Solutions in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Chiller Technician to service, repair, and commission large-scale systems. This field-based role focuses on diagnosing and maintaining chillers up to 2500 tons, cooling towers, pumps, boilers, rooftops, and VRF equipment with advanced electrical and refrigerant diagnostics.

You'll work independently in the field, provide customer-ready recommendations, document service activities, and participate in on-call

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on chiller service experience.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Strong understanding of refrigerant systems, compressors, and chiller controls.
• Advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Experience using digital diagnostic tools and service software.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving history
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain large-tonnage chillers and commercial HVAC systems in the field.
• Troubleshoot chillers, cooling towers, pumps, boilers, rooftops, and VRF units; perform preventive maintenance and system startups.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and use diagnostic tools to identify issues; document service activities and provide customer recommendations.
• Support commissioning and system optimization, and participate in on-call rotations while maintaining clear communication with customers and internal teams.

Work on Large-Tonnage Chillers and High-Level Commercial Systems

Flow Building Solutions is hiring an experienced Commercial HVAC Chiller Technician to support service, repair, and commissioning of large commercial and industrial systems. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys complex diagnostics, working on large-tonnage equipment, and operating with a high level of independence in the field. You'll work on chillers up to 2500 tons along with supporting equipment across a variety of commercial and industrial facilities.

What You'll Do

This is a field-based role focused on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining large-tonnage chillers and commercial HVAC systems. You will troubleshoot and service chillers, cooling towers, pumps, boilers, rooftop units, and VRF systems while performing preventative maintenance, system testing, and equipment start-ups. The role includes advanced electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant diagnostics, interpreting wiring diagrams and technical documentation, and using computerized diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues. You will also provide recommendations to customers, maintain accurate service documentation, and support commissioning and system optimization efforts. Participation in an on-call rotation is required, along with maintaining strong communication with customers and internal teams.
