Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation seeks a Commercial HVAC Apprentice Technician to deliver expert field service, install and calibrate HVAC systems, and troubleshoot complex issues. You will work in the field, supported by world-class training and tools, while ensuring safe, compliant operations.

Ideal candidates bring EPA certification, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. You’ll join a large team that values performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be able to push/pull/lift 50lbs.
• Stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended periods, climb a ladder, and work on rooftops.
• EPA Universal Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain air-conditioning and HVAC systems for efficiency.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical malfunctions in heating/cooling units.
• Install, replace, and calibrate HVAC equipment and thermostatic controls.
• Service rooftop units, gas packs, heat pumps, and related controls.
• Maintain water systems and assist in system design and planning.
• Ensure compliance with city/state/EPA regulations and maintain records.
• Identify and mitigate risks to maintain a safe working environment.

What you'll do

As a Commercial HVACApprenticeTechnician, you understand the importance of providing expert and quality service. We are looking for an individual who has:

• Inspect andmaintainair-conditioning and HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation

• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical malfunctions in heating and cooling units

• Install, replace, and calibrate HVAC equipment, including thermostatic controls and liquid lines

• Service rooftop units, gas packs, heat pumps, split systems, and related controls.

• Maintain chilled and hot water supply systems and adjust internal control systems

• Assemble and install metal ductwork andassistin HVAC system planning and design

• Ensure compliance with City, State, and EPA regulations bymaintainingdetailed maintenance records

• Identifyand mitigate risks tomaintaina safe working environment

• Collaborate with management to support safety and operational standards

Required Qualifications

As a Commercial HVACApprentice Service Technician, you understand the importance of providing expert service and quality. We are looking for an individual who has:

• Ability to Push / Pull / Lift 50lbs

• Must be able to stand, crawl, sit, squatofextended periodsof time, climb a ladder, and the ability to work on rooftop

• High School Diploma/GED

• EPA Universal Certification

• Possessandmaintainvalid and current Driver’s License andbeinsurable by the company’s insurance carrier

Preferred Qualifications

Other experience and qualities you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

• Basic understanding of building automation controls

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Experience using Salesforce andServiceMaxis a plus

Pay Range

The hourly rate for this position is between$15.00 - $30.00per hour.Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
