Job description

The CGM Production Manager is a hands-on position managing field supervisors and crew members who perform
landscape installation services on commercial jobsites. The Production Manager will perform certain planning,
administrative and regulatory functions as directed by the Vice President of Operations. The Production Manager
will promote teamwork throughout the company, enforce company policy and procedures, and support the Vice
President of Operations in all aspects of installation production.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Production
  1. Participate in pre-job reviews with field supervisors, estimators, and sales staff.
  2. Monitor and track job cost, hours, and materials.
  3. Notify Estimator, Salesperson, and Vice President of Operations of any foreseeable project overruns.
  4. Participate in post-job reviews to analyze job performance.
  5. Ensure crews are equipped and informed to provide the safest, highest quality work in a productive and efficient manner.
  6. Supervise and train installation field supervisors and crew members on all aspects of installation services including independent job planning and implementation.
  7. Support crews in all aspects of landscape installation.
  8. Perform and/or participate in crew and department general and safety meetings.
  9. Maintain schedule, monitor workloads, and review regularly with Branch Manager.
  10. Review BOSS LM timesheets and other paperwork as required by the company.
  11. Safe driving of company-owned vehicles, equipment, and transporting of crew members.
  12. Review equipment needs / maintenance schedules with field supervisor and Mechanic.
  13. Monitor jobs in progress to assure quality installations as well as safety procedures and company policies are being followed.
  14. Safely operate and train others on all equipment required to perform contracted work.
  15. Ability to properly read and execute a landscape plan and follow specifications.
Customer Service
  1. Support Field Supervisor and Project Managers as main field contact person for clients.
  2. Maintain excellent on-site relations and communications with clients, contractors and/or subcontractors.
Personnel
  1. Work closely with HR Manager and Vice President of Operations to promote and enforce all Company Policies and Procedures.
  2. Interviewing, hiring, orienting, and training of new hires.
  3. Document absences, tardiness and other disciplinary actions.
  4. Conduct Performance Reviews on Crew Leaders/Crew Members.
  5. Enforce company policies.
Administrative
  1. Ensure correct billing information is coming in from the field.
  2. Help administer and execute change orders for additional scope outside of contract including Subcontractor scope.
  3. Ability to read and understand contract documentation, bill of materials, and estimates.
  4. Review job budgets with all crews as a guide for production.
  5. Monitor work order tracking.
  6. Monitor equipment inventory and tracking of equipment.
  7. Train Field Supervisors on all aspects of administrative paperwork.
  8. Keep informed of new practices in green industry.
  9. Keep informed of new or potential sales.
  10. Maintain appropriate communication channels for the situation.
  11. Follow proper procedure to turn jobs over to maintenance personnel.
Pay/Benefits Package
  1. $54,000 - $60,000 annual salary.
