Job summary

Fargo Glass & Paint Co. is hiring a Glazier/Commercial Glass & Window Installer to assist in installing storefronts, curtain walls, aluminum doors, and related glazing components at commercial and residential sites.

You will read shop drawings, follow installation instructions, and work with hand and power tools to ensure precise assemblies. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in glazing or window installation preferred.
• Able to lift 75 pounds regularly.
• Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to read shop drawings and installation instructions.
• Willing to work overtime and out of town travel.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability to drive company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation of storefront and curtain wall systems.
• Install aluminum doors, pre-glazed windows, skylights, mirrors.
• Read and apply shop drawings and manufacturer installation instructions.
• Safely operate hand and power tools during installations.
• Maintain safety and quality at commercial and residential sites.

Job description

Glazier/Commercial Glass & Window Installer

Summary: Assist in the assembly or installation of storefront, curtain wall, aluminum doors, pre-glazed windows, skylights, HM Glass, glass rails, architectural metal, shower doors and mirrors at commercial/residential site

Role and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

• Able to lift 75 pounds on a regular basis
• Willing to work outside in all conditions
• Able to work off ladders, scissor lifts, boom lifts, platform lifts, scaffold, and swing stages (at any height)
• Able to be insured to drive company vehicles.
• Able to accurately read a tape measure
• Basic understanding of how to use hand and power tools
• Willing to work overtime
• Willing to work out of town
• Have a willingness to learn a trade
• Able to take direction and follow through with what you have been told
• Able to read shop drawings and apply information to your work
• Able to read and understand manufacturer installation instructions
• Have an understanding of how to assemble both storefront and curtain wall

Hours:Start and end times will vary; Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm
