Job summary

OGD Overhead Garage Door in Tampa, FL is hiring an experienced Commercial Garage Door Technician to service, repair, and install commercial dock and door equipment. The role requires welding experience and the ability to work safely on ladders and lifts.

Travel within 90+ miles of the assigned market is required, with a company-provided truck and full benefits. You will review work orders, coordinate with dispatch, and ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications while delivering

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience installing, servicing, and repairing commercial dock and door equipment.
3–5 years welding experience related to commercial dock and door systems.
Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Install, service, repair, and maintain commercial dock and door equipment and related systems.
Review work orders, coordinate with dispatch, obtain materials.
Inspect sites for installation needs and safety issues.
Transport materials to sites and complete installations per standards.
Operate ladders, scissor lifts, and aerial platforms up to 40 ft.
Operate forklifts and welding equipment safely.
Complete safety documents and follow policies.
Remove and dispose of old equipment.
Maintain professional appearance and communicate with customers.
Keep vehicles, tools, and work areas clean.
Assist with extra duties to support operations.
