Job summary

Apple Door Systems in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a Commercial Garage Door Technician to join our team. You will install doors, diagnose issues, and perform maintenance on garage door systems at customer sites.

The role reports to the Commercial Manager, offers full-time hours and a comprehensive benefits package, and requires a valid driver's license and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Must have an acceptable MVR to be added to our auto insurance policy.
• Must have dependable, reliable transportation to and from your base office location.

• Install Garage Door Products per manufacturer specifications
• Basic diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Identify and repair mechanical and electrical failures.

Summary

In the role of Commercial Garage Door Technician, you will assume a pivotal responsibility in the maintenance and repair of Garage Doors, Dock Equipment, Automatic Pedestrian doors, and related systems.

Duties

• Install Garage Door Products per manufacturer specifications
• Basic diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Identify and repair mechanical and electrical failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance services.
• Maintain paperwork and records as necessary.
• Maintain a safe, Secure and Healthy Work Environment

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License

Prefered Qualifications

• 2 years of commercial overhead door experience
• Welding, OSHA 10, first aid, and/or CPR certification(s)
• Basic Knowledge of Construction and Hand Tools
• Mechanical Inclination
