Job summary

MSNW Group LLC is seeking an experienced Commercial Floor Care Technician to join our team. If you take pride in delivering high-quality floor care services and have experience operating professional floor maintenance equipment, we'd love to hear from you.

Hours are 40 per week with a pay rate of $28–$30 per hour. MSNW serves WA, OR, and ID regions, offering training and growth within our facility management services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial floor care experience required.
• IICRC certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of floor finishes, restoration techniques, and carpet care.
• Experience operating professional floor care equipment.
• Self-management with little supervision.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to lead and train staff in cleaning techniques.
• Must pass background checks and city requirements.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Physically able to perform general tasks.
• Able to interact appropriately with customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Strip, wax, buff floors; grout cleaning; burnishing; carpet cleaning.
• Assist management in daily operation of contracts with timely, quality service.
• Orientate in safe operation of equipment and floor care processes.
• Assist with staff training.
• Conduct quality checks as directed by Management.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and function.
• Report worn or broken equipment to supervisor.
• Secure building after work.
• Build positive relationships with customers.
• Respond to customer complaints.
• Record projects and process tickets.

Requirements

Schedule: 40 hrs per week

Pay Rate: $28 - $30 per hour

Expected duties

• Stripping & waxing, buffing floors, grout cleaning, burnishing of floors, carpet cleaning, etc.
• Assist management in the daily operation of specific contract services delivered to customers in a timely and quality manner.
• Orientate in the safe and proper operation of equipment and floor care processes as necessary.
• Assist with job training for staff.
• Conduct quality checks inspections as directed by Management.
• Physically perform all related duties of floor care in accordance with company policies and/or manufacturer's recommended maintenance requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repair of equipment as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and ensure it functions properly.
• Promptly report worn and broken equipment to supervisor.
• Responsible for keys, combinations, and equipment and/or asset control.
• Responsible for securing building when work is complete.
• Assist with establishing and maintaining a positive relationship with customers.
• Respond to customer complaints.
• Project recording and ticket processing

Job Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial floor care experience required
• IICRC Certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of commercial floor finishes, restoration techniques, and carpet care
• Experience operating professional floor care equipment
• Self-management with little supervision
• Effective communication skills
• Must have the ability to lead others in the field as well as train staff on proper cleaning techniques
• Must be able to pass company background check screening and city government requirements
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record and reliable transportation
• Must be physically able to perform general tasks
• Must be able to interact appropriately with customers and employees

Physical Requirements

• Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling. Mobility and flexibility and ability to climb ladders.
• Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
• Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
• Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
