What You’ll Do

  • Identify, develop, and close fleet sales opportunities with commercial operators, corporate buyers, and leasing partners.
  • Help shape our initial go-to-market focus by identifying 2–3 high-potential verticals to prioritize.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, cold calling, networking, and industry engagement.
  • Develop and execute a fleet sales strategy and brand that aligns with Grounded’s growth objectives in the commercial vehicle space.
  • Own the full sales cycle —from lead generation to contract execution and onboarding.
  • Educate potential customers on the benefits of Grounded’s electric fleet solutions , emphasizing cost savings, sustainability, and operational efficiency .
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and leadership to ensure successful product integration and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts to refine sales approaches.
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales targets , driving revenue growth for the company.
  • Build trusted relationships with Fleet Management Companies (FMCs) , leasing partners, and commercial buyers to disarm skepticism and demonstrate long-term value.
  • Represent Grounded at industry events and vertical-specific conferences to build visibility and open new sales channels.
  • Collaborate with marketing and current customers to develop testimonials, case studies, and co-branded sales collateral that reinforces our value and supports the sales cycle.

What We Look For

  • 3-5 years of experience in fleet sales , B2B commercial vehicle sales or a related field.
  • You’ve built trusted relationships with FMCs and fleet directors and know how to navigate the complexity of commercial fleet procurement.
  • Proven ability to independently generate leads, develop relationships, and close deals .
  • Strong understanding of fleet financing, procurement, and total cost of ownership models .
  • Experience selling electric vehicles, fleet management solutions, or commercial upfits is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to engage decision-makers.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
