Job summary

Solid Security is seeking an experienced Commercial Fire & Security Systems Technician to install, program, service, and maintain integrated life-safety systems for commercial clients. You will read blueprints, run conduit, terminate devices, and ensure code-compliant installations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with commercial low-voltage, security, or fire-alarm systems.
• Experience with DMP, Fire-Lite, Silent-Knight, or Resideo Vista.
• Experience with Hanwha, Axis or other IP surveillance components and VMS.
• Certifications such as ESA, BICSI, ASIS, CompTIA, NICET or progress toward certification.
• Familiarity with NFPA inspection and testing procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
• Clean driving record and professional presentation.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, service, and maintain commercial fire alarms, burglar alarms, access control systems, video surveillance systems, and structured cabling.
• Troubleshoot life-safety and security systems accurately and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Run conduit, pull cable, terminate devices, and complete clean, professional installations.
• Ensure all work meets applicable codes, standards, and company expectations.
• Perform inspections, testing, preventive maintenance, and system repairs.
• Maintain accurate service records and project documentation.
• Partner with our Client Experience Team to provide responsive, customer-first service.
• Represent Solid Security | Technology with professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
