Job summary

Essel is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our Bend, Oregon construction team. You’ll perform finish carpentry on residential and commercial projects, read blueprints, frame structures, install doors/windows, and ensure safety and quality on-site.

You will work with superintendents and other trades, lifting up to 50 lbs and using hand and power tools. Weekly pay and overtime opportunities are available. Proficiency with standard carpentry methods is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of carpentry experience.
• Proficient in finish carpentry.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction plans.
• Proficient with common carpentry tools and equipment.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform rough and finish carpentry on commercial construction projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
• Frame walls, floors, roofs, and install doors and windows.
• Install trim, baseboards, crown molding, cabinets, and other finish carpentry elements.
• Build and install blocking, backing, stairs, and miscellaneous framing.
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other building materials accurately.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.
• Work collaboratively with superintendents, foremen, and other trades.
