Commercial Finance Controller – Jabil Corporate
Procurement‑Focused | based onsite in St. Petersburg, FL

The Commercial Finance Controller serves as a strategic partner to the Procurement organization, Plant Finance Controller, Business Unit Leadership, and Supply Chain teams. This role drives financial performance, strengthens commercial decision‑making, and establishes the operational metrics and KPIs needed to measure and optimize performance across procurement‑driven product groups and supplier portfolios.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as a proactive financial advisor to Procurement and cross‑functional leadership, providing insight on cost structures, supplier economics, and commercial trade‑offs.
  • Partner with Procurement to evaluate supplier contracts, pricing models, cost drivers, and long‑term sourcing strategies to optimize margin, cash flow, and risk mitigation.
  • Review market trends, commodity movement, supplier roadmaps, and commercial assumptions to forecast future cost streams and guide leadership toward actions that strengthen long‑term financial outcomes.
  • Conduct independent evaluations of financial forecasts, highlighting risks, opportunities, and sensitivities, particularly around cost evolution, supplier performance, and volume outlook.
  • Support quoting processes, cost roll‑ups, should‑cost analysis, and strategic sourcing proposals to ensure accurate, competitive, and profitable commercial decisions.
  • Drive improvements in Core Operating Income and working capital, with a strong understanding of how supplier terms, material cost trends, and procurement strategies influence financial performance.
  • Engage in both current‑quarter operational performance reviews and long‑range financial planning tied to operational capacity, supplier strategy, and demand signals.
  • Work with Procurement, Plant Finance, and Supply Chain teams to build, refine, and maintain KPIs that measure supplier performance, cost competitiveness, and procurement efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives that support the achievement of the lock forecast and long‑term procurement strategy.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Procurement leadership on initiatives that improve material cost accuracy, reduce volatility, strengthen contract governance, and improve inventory/working capital results.
  • Continuously evaluate processes, systems, reporting, and analytical tools to streamline procurement analytics and financial visibility.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management, with specific emphasis on material cost, supplier payment terms, PPV, and cost‑reduction pipelines.
  • Provide financial modeling support for sourcing events, contract negotiations, risk assessments, and cost‑reduction projects, including business‑case and sensitivity analysis.
  • Provide commercial and financial guidance to Procurement team members and cross‑functional partners.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support Procurement and corporate objectives.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
  • Provide financial and commercial oversight for Procurement‑driven contracts, ensuring compliance with financial, operational, and commercial requirements.
  • Conduct decision‑support analysis to strengthen supplier negotiations, contract structuring, and material cost strategies.
  • Ensure strong financial and business controls within procurement workflows, including pricing governance, supplier contract terms, and sourcing justifications.
  • Collaborate closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, and functional teams, ensuring aligned decision‑making and transparent communication.
  • Deliver financial training and insights to Procurement and operational teams, emphasizing cost drivers, material variances, and sourcing impacts on financials.
  • Ensure all cost elements are properly controlled, validated, recovered where applicable, and structured to avoid financial exposure.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence sourcing strategy and commercial decision‑making.
  • Operate effectively in fast‑paced environments, making timely, well‑informed decisions.
  • Possess strong analytical capability to interpret cost drivers, material trends, and financial results.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, presenting insights with impact and clarity.
  • Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and a proactive, solution‑oriented approach.
  • Influence leadership effectively, providing data‑driven recommendations that secure buy‑in.
  • Produce high‑quality reporting on procurement financials, supplier performance, and cost‑to‑serve analytics.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree required, in Finance or Accounting preferred.
  • 8–12 years of relevant finance experience, ideally in procurement finance, supply chain finance, or commercial finance within a large, complex organization.
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively with functional teams.
  • Proven ability to build accurate forecasts by integrating inputs from multiple stakeholders and validating underlying cost and volume assumptions.
  • Solid financial modeling skills with the ability to translate operational data into clear, actionable financial insights.
