Job summary

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Commercial Painters in Bensenville, IL. This role focuses on the exterior finishing of commercial buildings, including surface preparation and the use of airless spray equipment to deliver durable coats.

The position is contract, with pay from $25 to $30 per hour based on experience, and requires at least 2 years of exterior painting experience and the ability to work at heights.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a painter with a focus on commercial exterior projects.
• Proficiency in operating airless sprayers and power washing equipment.
• Experience with exterior substrates including masonry, metal, wood, and stucco.
• Comfortable working at heights on ladders, scaffolding, or aerial lifts.
• Ability to follow technical specifications and blueprints for coating requirements.
• Reliable transportation to project sites in the Bensenville area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exterior surfaces by power washing, scraping, sanding, and removing old paint or debris to ensure proper adhesion.
• Apply primers and topcoats to commercial exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and airless spray equipment.
• Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, or other fillers for a smooth, weather-resistant finish.
• Set up ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts to access high areas safely.
• Mix and thin paints to the correct consistency according to manufacturer specifications.
• Protect surrounding areas using drop cloths, plastic, and masking tape.
• Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment, including sprayers and brushes.
• Follow OSHA safety regulations for heights and chemical handling.
• Monitor weather conditions to ensure proper timing and curing.
• Perform final walkthroughs and touch-ups to meet project quality standards.
