GlobalFoundries U.S. Inc. is seeking a Commercial Excellence Intern to gain hands-on experience analyzing partner data, improving processes, and creating training materials with AI-assisted tools.

The role targets a sophomore pursuing a BA/BS in Business, Analytics, or related fields, with a 3.0+ GPA, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and the ability to commit to 40 hours per week

Qualifications

  • Sophomore status at application, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Marketing, Economics or related field.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA and good academic standing.
  • Fluency in English (written & verbal).
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize and review partner and sales data using Excel and dashboards.
  • Interview stakeholders and draft simple process maps and job aids.
  • Support enhancements to the partner portal by documenting needs and testing updates.
  • Research potential partners and summarize findings for discussions.
  • Prepare insights and summaries for sales funnel reviews and leadership updates.
  • Create and maintain partner training materials with AI tools.
  • Own a defined project from start to finish and present results.

Internship Program Overview:

Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. As an intern at GF, you’ll experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives.

Summary of Role:

The Commercial Excellence Intern will gain hands‑on experience supporting GF’s global partner program by analyzing business data, improving processes, creating training materials and supporting partner performance reviews. The intern will use AI‑assisted tools and own one or two well‑defined projects from planning through final presentation.

Essential Responsibilities include:
  • Collect, organize and review partner and sales opportunity data using Excel, dashboards and AI‑assisted tools to support data integrity and business analytics.
  • Interview stakeholders and observe system workflows to create simple process maps, job aids and first drafts for team review.
  • Support improvements to the partner web portal by documenting needs, testing updates and tracking open items with Sales Operations and GF IT.
  • Research potential partners and summarize key findings for team discussions and decisions.
  • Use data and AI‑assisted tools to prepare insights, presentations and summaries for sales funnel reviews, partner business reviews and leadership updates.
  • Help create and maintain partner training and communication materials using AI‑assisted tools.
  • Own one well‑defined project from start to finish and present results and recommendations at the end of the internship.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Marketing, Economics or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior related internship or co‑op experience
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
  • Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.
  • Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning & organizational skills
  • Detail oriented and organized, with the ability to maintain accurate records and follow documented processes.
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to ask questions of senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage more than one assignment and flag priority conflicts early.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking skills to form a point of view from data or process information.
  • Working proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to Power BI, Power Platform or SQL is an advantage.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and applying AI‑assisted tools to data analysis, visualization, process improvement, automation and business communication.
