Job summary

American National Insulation in Sparks, NV is seeking a Commercial Construction Estimator to join our project teams. You will analyze drawings, prepare cost estimates for spray fireproofing and spray insulation, and support preconstruction with value engineering and subcontractor bidding.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial insulation, knowledge of Division 07 specs, and proficiency with Bluebeam, Procore and Excel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial Spray Fireproofing/Spray Insulation or construction estimating.
• Familiarity with Division 07 specifications and Spray Fireproofing/Spray Insulation.
• Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, Procore and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop detailed waterproofing estimates.
• Calculate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Source and evaluate bids from Spray Fireproofing/Spray Insulation vendors and subcontractors.
• Ensure estimates comply with building codes and Spray Fireproofing/Spray Insulation standards.
• Present cost breakdowns and value engineering options to stakeholders.
• Lead preconstruction planning, job handoffs, and kickoff meetings.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers, lead pre-construction submittals to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies.
