Job summary

American National Insulation, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Construction Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial projects and manage preconstruction activities.

The role emphasizes a deep understanding of spray fireproofing and insulation, along with strong analytical and collaborative skills. The candidate will analyze drawings, source bids, and present cost breakdowns while coordinating with project teams to ensure timely, compliant, and value-engineered solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial spray fireproofing/spray insulation or construction estimating.
• Familiarity with Division 07 specifications and spray fireproofing/inhalation standards.
• Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, Procore, or Excel.
• Strong understanding of insulation materials and installation methods.
• Ability to interpret complex construction documents.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers; lead pre-construction submittals to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technologies, materials, and regulations.
• Assist in scheduling and sequencing activities within the broader construction timeline.

About the Role

Responsibilities

Estimating

THIS IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION

Travel and Physical Requirements

Type of Travel Required: Local. Amount of Travel Required: < 50%.

A flexible schedule may include evening and weekend hours as required by job demand.

Physical Requirements: Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted to load and unload various products. Work is performed at installation sites and may require ladder climbing, stooping, balancing, kneeling, crawling, bending, lifting, driving a car or truck, and sitting and standing for long periods of time.

Compensation

Compensation Range: $30,000.00 – $250,000.00. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
