Aerotek in Rochester, NY is seeking an Electrician to rough in conduit and wiring for new commercial buildings, terminate wires at panels, and wire control instruments for power, lighting, and HVAC.

This permanent onsite role requires OSHA-certified, 5+ years of experience bending conduit, pulling wires, and working with 480V, with tools provided on site.

Job Title: Electrician Job Description

Electricians will be responsible for roughing in conduit and wiring new commercial buildings based on plans and prints provided by the general contractor. They will terminate wires at switches, circuit breaker panels, and relays. Additionally, electricians will wire instruments that control the power, lighting, and heating units in buildings, and provide wiring for air conditioning and refrigeration units. The role involves using power tools, test meters, pipe threaders, and conduit benders.

Responsibilities

• Rough in conduit and wiring for new commercial buildings.

• Terminate wires at switches, circuit breaker panels, and relays.

• Wire instruments controlling power, lighting, and heating units.

• Provide wiring for air conditioning and refrigeration units.

• Utilize power tools, test meters, pipe threaders, and conduit benders.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of commercial experience in bending conduit or pipe and running wire.

• Safety-oriented with OSHA certification.

• Proficiency with saws, drills, utility knives, ohmmeters, and testing tools.

• Experience with pulling wire, wiring, bending conduit, and working with 480V.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with 227V and 480V electrical systems.

• Skills in conduit installation, wire pulling, pipe bending, and outlet wiring.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
