Job summary

Skillforce is hiring Commercial Electricians for ongoing project work in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Commercial Electrician, you will be responsible for installing and finishing electrical systems on commercial jobs.

If you have three or more years of commercial electrical experience and can work on your own, you will contribute to projects from conduit bending to panel wiring. You will read blueprints, install panelboards and lighting, test circuits, and coordinate with foremen to keep

Qualifications

• At least three years of commercial electrical experience.
• Ability to run your work on your own with minimal supervision.
• Working knowledge of the National Electric Code and electrical prints.
• Hands-on experience bending conduit and terminating panels on commercial jobs.
• Commercial new construction and tenant fit-out experience are both welcome.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Weekly pay.

Responsibilities

• Install and finish electrical systems on commercial jobs.
• Bend and install EMT conduit and run MC cable for power and lighting.
• Pull, terminate, and label wire in panels, junction boxes, and devices.
• Set boxes, supports, and hangers for neat conduit runs up to code.
• Read blueprints and electrical drawings to lay out and complete work.
• Install and connect panelboards, disconnects, lights, switches, and receptacles.
• Test circuits and troubleshoot problems for inspection readiness.
• Coordinate with foreman and other trades to keep the job on schedule.
• Follow jobsite safety and lockout/tagout procedures and keep work area clean.

• $27.00 to $32.00 per hour, based on your commercial electrical experience.
• W-2 employment with weekly pay.
• Monday through Friday on a morning shift.
• Daytime hours with your weekends kept free.
• Immediate openings on ongoing commercial projects.
• Bend and install EMT conduit and run MC cable for commercial power and lighting circuits.
• Pull, terminate, and label wire in panels, junction boxes, and devices.
• Set boxes, supports, and hangers so conduit runs are neat, straight, and up to code.
• Read blueprints and electrical drawings to lay out and complete your own work.
• Install and connect panelboards, disconnects, light fixtures, switches, and receptacles.
• Test circuits and troubleshoot problems so systems are ready for inspection.
• Coordinate with the foreman and other trades to keep the job on schedule.
