Job summary

SkillSeek Jobs is seeking experienced Commercial Electrical Mechanics for projects throughout New York City's five boroughs. The work includes new construction, tenant fit-outs, building renovations, and infrastructure upgrades across office, residential, hospitality, healthcare, and mixed-use developments.

Candidates should be comfortable working independently while coordinating with field supervision and other trades.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial electrical experience.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• SST Card required or ability to obtain before starting.
• Ability to read construction drawings.
• Own basic electrical hand tools.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install EMT, rigid conduit, cable tray, and supports.
• Pull, terminate, and test branch circuit wiring.
• Install lighting, panels, switchgear, and electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Lay out work independently and coordinate with field supervision.
• Troubleshoot installation issues in the field.
• Coordinate with other trades to maintain project schedules.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
