Job summary

RIMEPRO INC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for commercial buildings in the Piedmont, CA area. You will develop concepts through construction documents, coordinating with architects, owners, and other MEP engineers.

Responsibilities include load calculations, single-line diagrams, and equipment sizing, with heavy emphasis on coordination and code compliance, including NEC and California energy requirements, for base-building upgrades and tenant improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for commercial buildings, tenant improvements, and base-building upgrades.
• Develop power distribution, lighting, controls, emergency power, and related building systems.
• Perform load calculations, voltage drop calculations, panel schedules, and equipment sizing.
• Develop single-line diagrams, electrical plans, details, schedules, and specifications.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, and other building systems.
• Review existing building electrical infrastructure and determine available capacity for new tenant or building loads.
• Prepare construction documents from schematic design through final permit and construction drawings.
• Review architectural and engineering drawings to identify coordination issues and potential design conflicts.
