BlockReel in Los Angeles is seeking a talented mid-level Editor for an upcoming commercial project. You will assemble raw footage, import music, dialogue, graphics and effects, and refine pacing with the director and producers to align the final cut with the creative vision.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of commercial editing experience, a strong reel, proficiency in Premiere Pro, and basic After Effects; own editing setup is a plus.

An independent production is seeking a talented mid-level Editor for an upcoming commercial project, based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a small, tight-knit team looking for someone to collaborate closely with us on a fun, visually driven spot for a lifestyle brand. The tone is modern, energetic, and a bit quirky, aiming for a fresh aesthetic that stands out. This is a great opportunity to be part of a creative partnership. Key responsibilities include assembling raw footage, inputting music, dialogues, graphics, and effects, and ensuring the final cut aligns with the creative vision. You'll be working directly with the director and producers to refine the narrative flow and pacing. We are looking for an editor who is proactive, has a strong storytelling instinct, and a keen eye for detail. Required experience includes at least 3-5 years working on commercial or short-form content, with a strong reel demonstrating a diverse range of editing styles and projects. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is essential, and experience with After Effects for basic motion graphics is a plus. You should ideally have your own editing suite or workstation. We anticipate a post-production timeline of approximately 3 weeks of work, starting around November 19, 2026. Hours will be flexible but will require dedicated focus during the editing period. Compensation for this role is an equity partnership in the commercial project, offering a unique opportunity for shared success.
