Job summary

LMSMid-Atlantic is seeking an experienced Commercial Drywall Superintendent to lead field operations on multiple commercial projects in the Washington, DC area.

You will supervise foremen and crews, review drawings and specifications, coordinate with General Contractors and subcontractors, and ensure safety, schedule adherence, productivity, and quality on site.

This role requires strong communication, strict documentation, and proactive problem solving to keep projects on track and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of commercial construction experience with supervision responsibility.
• Demonstrated expertise in drywall, metal framing, and wall/ceiling installations.
• OSHA certifications and ability to obtain required credentials.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily field operations for drywall, metal framing, and wall/ceiling installs.
• Direct foremen, drywall installers, carpenters, laborers, and field personnel.
• Manage multiple projects and crews, balancing manpower, schedules, materials, and priorities.
• Review drawings, specs, scopes of work, and project requirements with field teams.
• Monitor daily production, productivity, and adjust staffing or plans as needed.
• Communicate schedule impacts, delays, conflicts, and field conditions promptly.

PositionOverview

TheCommercialDrywallSuperintendentleadsfieldoperationsacrossmultiplecommercialprojects.ThisrolecoordinatescloselywithGeneralContractors,ProjectManagers,Foremen,subcontractors,andothertradestodeliversafe,high-qualityworkwhilemaintainingschedules,productivity,documentation,andclearcommunication.

• Promoteandenforcecompanysafetystandards,OSHArequirements,andqualityexpectations
• Providehands-onleadership,coaching,andaccountabilitytofieldteams

Experience/Education

• Minimumof8yearsofcommercialconstructionexperience,includingsignificantfieldsupervisionresponsibility
• Demonstratedexpertiseincommercialdrywall,metalframing,andwallandceilinginstallations
• Candidateswithextensiveconstructionsupervisionexperienceinothertradesmayalsobeconsidered,concretetradeexperienceisaplus
• OSHA10certificationrequired,OSHA30certificationpreferred
• CPRcertificationrequiredorabilitytoobtainuponhire
