Job summary

LMS Mid-Atlantic is seeking a Commercial Drywall Superintendent to lead field operations across multiple commercial projects. You will supervise foremen, crews, and subcontractors, ensuring safe, high-quality work while maintaining schedules and clear communication.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specs, monitoring production, coordinating with general contractors and other trades, and maintaining thorough project documentation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial construction experience with field supervision responsibilities.
• Experience in drywall, metal framing, and wall/ceiling installations.
• CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily field operations for commercial drywall, metal framing, and wall/ceiling installations.
• Direct foremen, drywall installers, carpenters, laborers and other field personnel.
• Manage multiple projects and crews, balancing manpower, schedules, materials and priorities.
• Review drawings, specs, scopes of work and project requirements with field teams.
• Monitor daily production and adjust staffing or work plans as needed.
• Coordinate daily activities and sequencing with GCs, PMs, subcontractors, and other trades.
• Attend project meetings and represent LMS Mid-Atlantic professionally.
• Review project schedules and identify manpower, material, and equipment needs.
• Document schedule impacts, delays, conflicts, field conditions and potential problems promptly.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and field records.

LMS Mid-Atlantic is a growing commercial specialty contractor focused on drywall, metal framing, and wall and ceiling installations. We are seeking experienced construction leaders who want to help build strong field operations, shape processes, and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

Position Overview

The Commercial Drywall Superintendent leads field operations across multiple commercial projects. This role coordinates closely with General Contractors, Project Managers, Foremen, subcontractors, and other trades to deliver safe, high-quality work while maintaining schedules, productivity, documentation, and clear communication.

Commercial Drywall Superintendent typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Supervise and coordinate daily field operations for commercial drywall, metal framing, and wall and ceiling installations
• Direct Foremen, drywall installers, carpenters, laborers, and other field personnel
• Manage multiple projects and crews while balancing manpower, schedules, materials, and project priorities
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project requirements with field teams
• Monitor daily production and productivity and adjust staffing or work plans as needed
• Coordinate daily activities and work sequencing with General Contractors, Project Managers, subcontractors, and other trades
• Attend project meetings and represent LMS Mid-Atlantic professionally
• Review project schedules and identify upcoming manpower, material, equipment, and coordination requirements
• Communicate and document schedule impacts, delays, conflicts, field conditions, and potential problems promptly
• Maintain accurate daily reports, progress updates, field records, and other project documentation
• Identify additional work, potential change orders, and out-of-scope conditions; document and communicate these items to management
• Promote and enforce company safety standards, OSHA requirements, and quality expectations
• Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and accountability to field teams

Experience/Education

• Minimum of 8 years of commercial construction experience, including significant field supervision responsibility
• Demonstrated expertise in commercial drywall, metal framing, and wall and ceiling installations
• Candidates with extensive construction supervision experience in other trades may also be considered, concrete trade experience is a plus
• CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proven ability to lead Foremen and field crews across multiple active projects
• Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes, and schedules
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
• Ability to identify change order work and out-of-scope conditions
• Experience coordinating directly with General Contractors and other trades
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven field environment
• Working knowledge of Procore, Sage, Miter, or similar construction technology platforms preferred
