Job summary

Solid Rock Recruiting, LLC is seeking a seasoned Commercial Drywall Project Manager/Estimator in Chicago to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout. You’ll manage schedules, budgets, and coordination with GCs, owners, and field teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of drywall PM experience, a strong understanding of plans and specs, and a background with union commercial drywall contractors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial drywall project management experience.
• Strong background in drywall and metal stud framing.
• Experience with union commercial drywall contracting.
• Proficiency with OST and/or Quick Bid.
• Solid understanding of construction plans and specs.
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple projects.
• Strong communication and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial drywall projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Coordinate with GCs, owners, field teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Oversee schedules, budgets, change orders, and job costs.
• Review plans, specs, RFIs, submittals, and project docs.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage commercial drywall projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Coordinate with GCs, owners, field teams, vendors, and subcontractors

• Review plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
• Work closely with field teams to keep projects moving and resolve issues
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and project partners
