Position Overview

As a Commercial Driver, you will safely transport passengers while providing professional, courteous, and dependable service. You will operate company vehicles according to established schedules and service standards while ensuring passenger safety, comfort, and satisfaction throughout each trip.

This role is ideal for drivers who enjoy working independently, interacting with the public, and representing a respected transportation provider.

Key Responsibilities of a Commercial Driver:

Transportation Services

• Safely operate commercial passenger vehicles in accordance with company policies and transportation regulations
• Provide reliable transportation for passengers traveling to a variety of destinations
• Follow assigned routes, schedules, and service instructions
• Practice defensive driving techniques and maintain situational awareness at all times
• Ensure a safe and comfortable ride for every passenger

Passenger Relations

• Welcome passengers in a friendly and professional manner
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout each trip
• Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and general transportation needs
• Answer questions regarding routes, schedules, and services
• Create a positive experience that reflects the zTrip commitment to service excellence

Accessibility & Safety Support

• Assist passengers with mobility needs when required
• Safely operate accessibility equipment, including wheelchair lifts and ramps
• Properly secure wheelchairs and mobility devices
• Follow passenger assistance procedures and safety protocols
• Promote a respectful and inclusive transportation experience

Vehicle Care & Compliance

• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation standards
• Report mechanical concerns and safety issues promptly
• Ensure all inspection reports and required documentation are completed accurately
• Follow all DOT, company, and safety compliance requirements

Communication & Operations

• Maintain communication with dispatch and operations teams
• Report delays, incidents, accidents, or service interruptions promptly
• Assist with operational needs as required
• Maintain accurate logs and trip documentation
• Contribute to efficient and reliable transportation services

Qualifications of a Commercial Driver:

Required

• Valid CDL Class B License or Higher
• Passenger Endorsement (P)
• Acceptable Driving Record
• Strong commitment to safety and customer service
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Preferred

• Experience operating shuttle buses, transit vehicles, motor coaches, passenger vans, or commercial transportation vehicles
• Experience assisting passengers with mobility or accessibility needs
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and passenger transportation standards
• Customer service, hospitality, or transportation industry experience
• Familiarity with transportation technology and routing systems
