Job summary

WestRock Company is seeking a Class A Commercial Driver in Harrison, AR to operate a tractor-trailer and deliver products to customers. Expect 4–10 stops per route, palletized unloads, and use of ELD for logging. Routes are typically under 150 miles round trip with home nightly.

Shift is Mon-Fri, 5am–7am start, about 10 hours/day; any time over 8 hours is overtime. Pay rate is $27/hour, requiring a CDL A, 1+ year experience, current medical card, and HS diploma.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license with a clean record within the last 12 months.
• Current medical certification card.
• At least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates tractor and trailer for delivery of products.
• Perform vehicle inspections as required.
• Operate ELD and delivery proof apps on a mobile device.
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery.
• Follow safety requirements for equipment and material handling (DOT/OSHA).
• Ensure orders are delivered in good condition and per bill of lading.
• Communicate actively with operations staff about customer concerns.
• Use pallet jack and hand trucks for loading/unloading.

Job description

The Opportunity

The Class A Commercial Driver position involves driving a company tractor and trailer to deliver products to our customers. Driver routes will typically be 4-10 stops per route, will require the driver to unload via lift gate with pallet jack, and transport/place palletized products inside the customers’ location. Drivers will be expected to use ELD and log all activity and follow all state and federal regulations. Routes are generally <150 miles round trip but could be longer including interstate depending on DC location.

Shift: Mon-Fri, 5am -7am start time with avg 10-hr days, home every night

(anything over 8hrs/day is overtime)

Pay Rate: $27/hour

What you need to succeed

• Current CDL Class A license
• No preventable motor vehicle violations within the last 12 months
• Current medical certification card.
• One or more years' experience driving a tractor trailer.
