Job summary

Himmel’s Architectural Door and Hardware is seeking a Door and Hardware Project Detailer for our Prairieville, LA location. You will organize project information, review plans and specs, and prepare shop drawings and submittals using approved catalogs and detailing software.

The role requires strong communication, a proactive approach, and the ability to collaborate with contractors and design teams to meet schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Experience reading plans & specifications.
• Experience using industry-specific detailing software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage new project information in Smartsheets and Comsense folders.
• Contact customers by email/phone to obtain project data.
• Detail new projects: review plans/specs, assess costs, note scope gaps, verify codes, propose solutions.
• Prepare shop drawings, schedules and submittals from manufacturer catalogs using approved tools.
• Coordinate with contractors, architects and project managers to meet critical deadlines, budgets and schedules.
