The Commercial Development Manager is an Individual Contributor role responsible for selling Medtronic DS1 and Touch Surgery Livestream platforms to hospitals across the US. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background in healthcare technology, excellent relationship-building skills, and a passion for driving business growth. Join our team and help shape the future of digital healthcare by enabling cutting-edge technology solutions in hospitals nationwide.

The region consists of MI, OH, MO, KY, and IN.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets for the DS1 and Livestream platforms.
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders within hospitals, including executives, clinicians, and IT personnel.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations, articulating the value and benefits of the digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales engineers, IT, and legal, to manage the sales process from prospecting to closing.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and market trends to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Provide post-sale support and foster long-term relationships to drive product utilization and customer satisfaction.

Key Performance Metrics:

  • Achieve/exceed quota.
  • Execute new product launches.
  • Effective forecasting and opportunity management.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 7 years of sales experience within an IT or Healthcare industry.
  • Field-based role that requires 75% travel within the territory.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience selling digital health technologies, medical devices, or capital equipment to hospitals.
  • Familiarity with hospital IT systems, cybersecurity, patient data privacy, and the ability to build strong relationships with hospital procurement, finance, and executive teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in selling capital equipment or capital devices to hospitals.
  • Ability to navigate complex sales environments.

Benefits and Compensation

Medtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package.

Salary ranges for U.S. (excl. PR) locations (USD): $150,000 - $150,000. The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.

In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.
