Key Responsibilities

• Operate commercial delivery vehicles safely and responsibly, in compliance with all road regulations and company protocols.
• Map out and execute optimized delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• Efficiently load and unload various types of commercial products, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
• Perform routine inspections of the vehicle, including checks on fluid levels, tire pressure, and equipment, and report any maintenance needs.
• Maintain precise records of deliveries, including proof of delivery documentation and collection of necessary signatures.
• Engage with clients in a courteous and professional manner, addressing any delivery-related inquiries.
• Assist with warehouse operations, including stock checks and organization when not on delivery runs.
• Report any vehicle issues, delivery discrepancies, or incidents to the logistics supervisor promptly.

Requirements

• Possession of a valid Code 10/14 driver's license with an accompanying PrDP.
• A minimum of 4 years of demonstrable experience in commercial driving or a similar role.
• An impeccable driving record, free from serious violations.
• Familiarity with the road network and key business areas within George, Western Cape .
• Physical capability to handle goods of varying weights and sizes.
• Exceptional navigation and route-planning skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
