Job summary

Outsource is actively hiring Commercial Cable Technicians for long-term commercial construction projects across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

As a technician, you will install and support structured cabling, AV systems, access control, CCTV, and network infrastructure in data centers, hospitals, schools, and office buildings, reading blueprints and testing cabling to ensure safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial structured cabling installations.
• Experience installing Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and/or fiber optic cable.
• Ability to read blueprints is a plus.
• Own basic hand tools and reliable transportation.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, label, and test Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling.
• Pull and route low-voltage cables through conduits and trays.
• Install patch panels, racks, and cable management.
• Install AV systems including speakers and projectors.
• Install access control systems and CCTV cabling.
• Perform cable testing and documentation.
• Read blueprints and low-voltage drawings.
• Maintain clean cable management and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers and trades to meet schedules.
