Job summary

The role partners with Relationship Managers to structure facilities, conducts annual reviews, and monitors portfolio risk, requiring 1–4+ years of underwriting experience and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 1-4+ years of commercial credit analysis or underwriting experience within a bank.
• Strong knowledge of commercial lending, financial statement analysis, and credit risk assessment.
• Ability to analyze complex borrower relationships and make sound credit recommendations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze commercial loan requests, including financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and collateral.
• Prepare credit memorandums and loan recommendations for approval.
• Evaluate borrower financial performance, repayment capacity, and overall creditworthiness.
• Conduct annual reviews, renewals, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
• Assign and monitor risk ratings and identify potential credit concerns.
• Ensure compliance with bank lending policies and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Relationship Managers to structure and underwrite credit facilities.
• Support internal audits, loan reviews, and regulatory examinations.
