Job summary

Credit Human is seeking a Commercial Lending Underwriter in New Orleans, LA to analyze and underwrite complex commercial loan applications across asset types. You will determine risk level, support credit decisions, and assist the Portfolio Manager with daily underwriting activities to maintain credit quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare analytical credit memoranda with final underwriting and risk rating recommendations for approval.
• Evaluate collateral evaluations and appraisals within Policy and Guidelines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships across Credit Human to ensure department production objectives and goals are obtained.
• Act as subject matter expert in the area of commercial lending underwriting, collateral and credit risk.
• Assist the Portfolio Manager with daily underwriting activities to ensure quality, sound and timely underwriting decisions.

We are seeking a Commercial Lending Underwriter - NOLA for the Commercial Lending Department.

The Commercial Lending Underwriter is accountable for analyzing and underwriting potential loans on complex commercial loan applications across a broad spectrum of asset types. Underwriter is to determine whether the transaction and the potential borrower presents an acceptable level of risk according to policy. The Commercial Lending Underwriter is accountable for assisting the Portfolio Manager with the daily underwriting activities to ensure the completion of quality, sound and timely underwriting decisions that will maintain and enhance the credit quality of our commercial portfolio. The underwriter is required to stay abreast of trends in the commer cial lending industry, to inform management of potential impacts to our business quality and quantity.

The expected pay range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000 annually.
