Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business/finance, accounting, or economics.
• 1-2 years of credit analysis experience in a commercial bank setting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills; positive attitude with team-player approach.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work assignments; detail oriented with flexibility in dealing with a changing work environment.
• Strong math skills and sound understanding of general accounting/reconciling principles.
• Strong computer skills, i.e., word processing, spreadsheets and menu-driven software.
• Must comply with all bank policies and maintain customer confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Credit Request Presentations that analyze the degree of risk involved in extending credit.
• Confer with Credit Management and Commercial lenders to determine appropriate structures and terms, making recommendations when appropriate.
• Make recommendations for credit grading / loan risk rating.
• Prepare financial spreads and ratio analysis using spreading software.
• Conducts annual analysis and prepares memorandums for large commercial loan relationships.
• Attends Loan Committee meetings, as appropriate, to be available to answer questions regarding credit analysis and to assist with presenting the data.
• Study and stay current with compliance regulations, industry trends, and economic conditions as they relate to commercial lending.
• Continue to complete training requirements as established by Credit Management.
• Works on special projects as assigned by Credit Management.
• Other duties as requested by supervisor or other management representative of the bank.
