Qualifications

• Hold a law degree (JD, LLB, or equivalent) and be licensed to work as in-house counsel in your location.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Demonstrated ability to provide clear, practical legal guidance to non-lawyers on complex commercial matters.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including AI safety and research agreements, product and partnership deals.
• Collaborate with deployment, policy, and education teams to support deal velocity and provide practical legal guidance.
• Draft program terms for phased deployment of AI models in cybersecurity and health sciences.
• Help build and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and process improvements.
• Partner with Policy, Safeguards, and Research teams on AI governance initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks while supporting business momentum.
• Stay current on developments in AI law affecting the sector.
