Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. in Pittsburgh seeks a Director, Senior Assistant Counsel - Commercial to lead complex commercial contracting and provide practical legal guidance across North America. You will partner with sales, procurement, operations and other stakeholders to drive efficient contracting and risk management.

The role requires 8+ years of relevant experience, a JD from an ABA-accredited school, and strong drafting and negotiation skills. MBA/LLM is a plus; relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in the United States or eligible to obtain license.
• 8+ years of relevant law firm and in-house experience with substantial commercial contracting.
• Experience negotiating supply, procurement, distribution, logistics, technology, and data-related agreements.
• Experience with governance, litigation, investigations, compliance and ethics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and revise a wide range of commercial agreements including retail, food service, supply, distribution, licensing, SaaS, and data processing.
• Provide practical legal and business-oriented advice to cross-functional teams.
• Lead and maintain the contract playbook and CLM system.
• Manage commercial risk, including supplier quality, indemnity, and insurance structures.
• Support disputes, investigations, ethics and compliance, governance, and ESG as needed.
