Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; minimum 1 year experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, energy management, finance, accounting, or paralegal studies; 3 years energy experience.
  • Senior role requires 10+ years of experience in natural gas midstream, marketing, M&A, and joint venture agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and coordinates creation, redlining, and execution of sophisticated agreements with emphasis on negotiating terms that improve value and mitigate contractual exposure.
  • Leads communication with internal and external partners to collaborate on contract and document draft/redline/execution.
  • Identifies and leads continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiencies within the group; evaluates tools and processes.
  • Assists the business to find adequate contract solutions for customers.
  • Crafts new contract templates and updates existing templates; recommends policy/guideline changes for commercial contracts.
  • Collaborates with various partners on new business development opportunities and special projects.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

Commercial Contract Analyst II:
  • Required: High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of one (1) year experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, energy management, finance, accounting, or paralegal studies and three (3) years' experience in energy
Commercial Contract Analyst III:
  • Required: High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of five (5) years' experience in preparing natural gas midstream and marketing agreements
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, energy management, finance, accounting, or paralegal studies
Commercial Contract Analyst Sr:
  • Required: High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of ten (10) years' experience in preparing natural gas midstream, marketing, mergers and acquisitions, and joint venture agreements
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, energy management, finance, accounting, or paralegal studies
Other Requirements:
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
  • Prior experience with contract management systems (e.g. Cobblestone Contract Insight)
  • Preferred: Strength in communicating with varying audiences
  • Preferred: Ability to multitask and prioritize work, including coordinating with multiple internal partners
