Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking a Traveling Commercial Superintendent to direct on-site operations for Mission Critical data center projects. The role requires coordinating multiple trades, maintaining safety and quality, and frequent travel to project sites including extended assignments.

The ideal candidate has a four-year degree in a related field and 5+ years of field leadership experience with a general contractor. Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, Procore, and related tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or business.
• 5+ years of commercial construction experience with a general contractor.
• Field leadership experience on data center or Mission Critical projects.
• Ability to travel extensively, including extended assignments.
• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, Procore, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily field operations for data center and Mission Critical projects.
• Serve as the on-site safety leader and administer safety program across all subcontractors.
• Coordinate structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, life-safety, and technology scopes.
• Partner with the project manager to develop and maintain project schedules, look-ahead plans, and recovery plans.
• Oversee Mission Critical infrastructure, including electrical distribution, emergency power, generators, UPS systems, cooling equipment, and controls.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and documentation of manpower, activities, deliveries, inspections, and site conditions.
