gpac is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on diverse commercial projects in Westfield, IN. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong subcontractor coordination, and a focus on safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will review drawings, manage the schedule, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure documentation and inspections are handled efficiently to drive project success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent.
• Experience overseeing commercial projects and subcontractor teams.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and plans.
• Strong scheduling and coordination capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all day-to-day construction activities on the jobsite.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, vendors, deliveries, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain the project schedule and proactively address potential delays.
• Partner with Project Managers and team members for successful execution.
• Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and other construction documents.
• Attend project, subcontractor, and coordination meetings.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure quality standards.
• Enforce site safety and maintain a clean, organized jobsite.
• Maintain daily field reports, progress updates, and photographs.
• Coordinate inspections and secure approvals from authorities.
• Identify field challenges early and drive solutions to keep projects moving.
• Communicate progress, priorities, and issues across the team.
• Support project turnover and closeout.

We're partnering with a well-established and growing commercial general contractor seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to join their growing team and lead the day-to-day field operations of diverse commercial construction projects.

Projects span multiple market sectors, including Hospitality, Education, Healthcare, Retail, and more, providing the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and high-profile projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction leader who takes ownership of the jobsite, builds strong relationships with subcontractors and project teams, and knows how to keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage all day-to-day construction activities on the jobsite
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, vendors, deliveries, equipment, and materials
• Maintain the project schedule and proactively address potential delays
• Partner closely with Project Managers and other team members to ensure successful project execution
• Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and other construction documents
• Conduct and participate in project, subcontractor, and coordination meetings
• Monitor workmanship and ensure established quality standards are consistently met
• Enforce site safety requirements and maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily field reports, progress updates, and photographs
• Coordinate inspections and communicate with inspection authorities to secure required approvals
• Identify field challenges early and drive solutions to keep projects moving forward
• Communicate project progress, priorities, and potential issues across all levels of the project team
• Support successful project turnover and closeout

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent
• Proven experience overseeing commercial construction projects and subcontractor teams
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, sequencing, scheduling, and jobsite operations
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, plans, and other construction documents
• Strong scheduling and project coordination capabilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with construction scheduling software
• Comfortable using technology for field reporting, documentation, and digital photography
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a deadline-driven environment
