BGC | G&G is looking for construction professionals who want to build their careers in field leadership and commercial construction.

We are open to candidates at different stages of their careers. You may be a Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent ready for more responsibility, an experienced Superintendent capable of running a jobsite, or a construction professional with strong field experience who is ready to grow into site leadership.

Your level of responsibility will be based on your experience. Developing candidates will work alongside experienced project leadership while building their skills in scheduling, subcontractor coordination, safety, quality control, documentation, and jobsite management. Experienced Superintendents will take broader ownership of the project from startup through final completion.

What You'll Do

Depending on your experience and assigned project, responsibilities may include:

  • Support or manage day-to-day operations on commercial construction jobsites
  • Coordinate subcontractors, manpower, materials, deliveries, and site activities
  • Help maintain project schedules and prepare two-week look-aheads
  • Monitor subcontractor productivity and follow up when work falls behind schedule
  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, subcontractors, vendors, and customers
  • Participate in weekly project and progress meetings
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, safety reports, site photos, and project documentation in Procore
  • Track RFIs, submittals, inspections, document revisions, and other project information
  • Assist with manpower tracking and inspection scheduling
  • Monitor construction quality and verify subcontractor work meets project requirements
  • Assist with punch lists and project closeout
  • Coordinate and document material deliveries
  • Maintain an organized, professional, and safe jobsite
  • Identify potential problems early and help develop practical solutions
  • Keep project leadership informed about schedule, manpower, safety, and field issues
  • Maintain clear documentation of project progress

More experienced Superintendents may also:

  • Take full responsibility for onsite project management from startup through final acceptance
  • Develop and manage short-term field schedules
  • Direct and coordinate subcontractor activities
  • Monitor all field work for productivity, quality, safety, and schedule compliance
  • Anticipate upcoming construction needs several weeks in advance
  • Identify understaffed trades or schedule risks and take action before they affect the project
  • Coordinate site inspections and material requirements
  • Lead field execution while maintaining strong communication with the Project Manager and client
  • Enforce company safety requirements and jobsite standards
  • Take ownership of the overall organization and professional appearance of the jobsite
What We’re Looking For

  • Attention to safety and construction quality
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with subcontractors and project teams
  • Reliability, professionalism, and strong follow-through
  • Ability to manage changing priorities in an active construction environment
  • Willingness to work additional hours or weekends when necessary to meet project schedules
  • Ability to work with hand tools and operate manlifts or heavy equipment when required
Experience Level

We are open to candidates at different levels of commercial construction experience.

Candidates with approximately 2+ years of commercial construction experience may be considered for a developing Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent level of responsibility.

Candidates with 5+ years of commercial construction experience and the ability to independently manage field operations may be considered for full Superintendent responsibilities.

The Kind of Person Who Does Well Here

Strong field leaders lead by example.

They arrive prepared, communicate clearly, stay organized, document what is happening on the project, and address problems instead of simply reporting them.

They understand that successful construction requires coordination between the field, project management team, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.

If you are still developing your field leadership skills, this role can give you the opportunity to learn construction sequencing, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, safety management, and jobsite leadership.

If you are already an experienced Superintendent, you can take greater ownership of field operations and lead commercial projects from startup through completion.

Why This Role Is Worth Considering

This opportunity can grow with your experience.

You do not need to already be running large commercial projects independently to be considered. Candidates who have strong commercial construction experience and are ready to develop into greater field responsibility are encouraged to apply.

Experienced Superintendents can step into broader onsite leadership, while developing candidates can build the skills necessary to move toward full Superintendent responsibility.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation will depend on your commercial construction experience, field leadership background, project experience, and level of responsibility.

Additional compensation and benefit details should be discussed during the hiring process.
