Job summary

HITT Contracting seeks an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager for industrial and hospitality projects. The PM will lead the project from planning through closeout, maintaining safety, budget, and schedule while coordinating with owners and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial construction, a four-year degree in a related field, and proficiency with ProCore, BlueBeam, Adobe, and JD Edwards. This is an on-site role based in Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, including project management responsibilities.
• Experience leading multiple projects and coordinating with owners, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Proficiency with project software: MS Office, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, and JD Edwards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety documentation and compliance per company standards.
• Create and manage the project budget and cost tracking for assigned projects.
• Develop pre-construction RFP packages and coordinate related activities.
• Lead project meetings, set milestones, and prepare owner reports.
• Establish workflows for RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and change orders.
• Schedule tasks, ensure quality, and manage logistics across the project lifecycle.
• Support client discussions to identify needs and propose tailored services.
• Supervise and coordinate with assistant PMs, admin staff, and MEP teams.

The PM provides leadership and serves as the liaison between project team members to promote the interest of both the business and clients in all matters, as well as demonstrate the characteristics of a mid-level leader. The PM is the primary leader for the construction project.ResponsibilitiesMaintain adherence to HITT’s standards of safety; ensuring that required documentation is filedCreate and manage project budget for all assigned projectsDevelop and collaborate on pre-construction RFP packageConduct project meetings, while setting milestones and formulating monthly owner reportsEstablish job processes (RFIs, submittals, and pay applications) including approving pay applications and negotiating subcontract change ordersPerform project scheduling; ensure project quality control and establish overall project logisticsManage the closeout process efficientlyContact new and existing customers to discuss their needs while explaining how these needs could be met by specific company servicesSupervise assistant operations support roles such as assistant project manager, administrative assistant, MEP managers, safety team members, etc.Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the life of the projectQualificationsHigh school diploma required, four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferredIn lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable5+ years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractorPrevious experience in a project management role with the ability to execute multiple projects and/or simultaneouslyAbility to master sector/project-specific software systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite (ex.
