Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager in Houston to lead project teams through design, permitting, procurement, and construction. The PM will ensure on-time delivery, quality, and budget adherence, serving as the primary liaison among project stakeholders and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in commercial construction, a degree in construction, engineering, or business, and proficiency with ProCore and construction software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering or business preferred.
• 5+ years of commercial construction PM experience.
• Experience with ProCore, BlueBeam and JD Edwards.
• Strong reading of construction drawings.
• Ability to multi-task and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to safety standards and file required docs.
• Develop and manage project budgets for assigned projects.
• Conduct project meetings and monthly owner reports.
• Schedule projects and ensure quality control.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, and pay applications.
• Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team.
• Engage with clients to discuss needs and project scope.

The PM provides leadership and serves as the liaison between project team members to promote the interest of both the business and clients in all matters, as well as demonstrate the characteristics of a mid-level leader. The PM is the primary leader for the construction project.ResponsibilitiesMaintain adherence to HITT’s standards of safety; ensuring that required documentation is filedCreate and manage project budget for all assigned projectsDevelop and collaborate on pre-construction RFP packageConduct project meetings, while setting milestones and formulating monthly owner reportsEstablish job processes (RFIs, submittals, and pay applications) including approving pay applications and negotiating subcontract change ordersPerform project scheduling; ensure project quality control and establish overall project logisticsManage the closeout process efficientlyContact new and existing customers to discuss their needs while explaining how these needs could be met by specific company servicesSupervise assistant operations support roles such as assistant project manager, administrative assistant, MEP managers, safety team members, etc.Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the life of the projectQualificationsHigh school diploma required, four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferredIn lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable5+ years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractorPrevious experience in a project management role with the ability to execute multiple projects and/or simultaneouslyAbility to master sector/project-specific software systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite (ex.
