Job summary

SCI Construction is seeking a proactive Project Manager in Tyler, TX with 2+ years of general construction PM experience. You will coordinate scope, resourcing, scheduling, and budgets while interfacing with customers and coordinating with site superintendents and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate reads plans well, negotiates effectively, and is proficient in Excel, Word, MS Project, and Outlook; Procore experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of general construction project management experience
• Self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
• Excellent oral, written, and email communication skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Knowledge of subcontractor companies and ability to locate/develop new ones
• Able to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Proficient in Excel, Word, MS Project, and Outlook
• Experience with Procore is a plus
• Must provide at least 3 job-related references

Tyler, TX based General Contractor (15+ years in business) specializing in senior housing, commercial development, and general commercial construction. This position has location flexibility.

Job Summary

Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of project coordination. This includes determining project scope, resourcing materials and subcontractors, scheduling, customer interface, coordination with job-site superintendents, and budget responsibility.

Job Requirements

• Experience with school facility construction a plus but not necessary
• 2+ years of general construction project management experience
• Self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment in order to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills – both oral, written and via emails
• Strong negotiation skills
• Knowledge of subcontractor companies in various areas and ability to locate/develop new subcontractors
