Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

To oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. This position is based out of our Newtown, PA office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation.
• Communicate with owners, architects, and subcontractors regarding project risks, timetables, costs/budgets, and change management.
• Allocate resources for assigned projects.
• Perform pre-construction planning, scheduling, and cost control.
• Determine subcontracting strategy, prepare front-end documents, and manage bid processes under various project delivery models.
• Prepare monthly reports on cost, schedule, safety, etc., for internal and external use.
• Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
• Negotiate with contractors to obtain reasonable costs.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship adhering to original plans and specifications.
• Develop contingency plans for potential risks to expand contractual services and project profit.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• 4-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• At least 5 years’ experience in commercial, industrial, or retail construction management.
• Proven competency in scheduling, budget and cost control, financial reporting, client relationship management, interpersonal skills, computer skills, effective communication (both written and oral), leadership, and organization.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
• Detail-oriented with strong negotiation skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of Maxwell Pro Contractor and Microsoft Office is preferred.
