Job summary

Cagayan State University offers a 10-week internship in commercial construction. You will support project delivery, assist with subcontractors and document control, and help prepare bid packages.

The program includes mentorship, networking events, and exposure to project management software. You must be a current undergraduate or graduate student in construction, engineering, or business, with the ability to work 40 hours per week and to learn Procore, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Office 365.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in construction, engineering, or business.
• Previous internship, volunteer work, or work experience is a plus.
• Passion for construction and the general contracting industry.
• Ability to work approximately 40 hours per week for the duration of the 10-week program.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to learn project-specific software systems (MS Office 365, Procore, Adobe, BlueBeam).
• Exceptional customer and client focus with ability to succeed in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support project delivery alongside project managers and superintendents.
• Assist with subcontractors, supplier coordination, material tracking, and file management.
• Contribute to document control processes (submittals, RFIs, change orders).
• Assist in preparing bid packages and evaluating subcontractor bids.
• Aid in progress reporting and client communications.
• Assist with site reviews, condition verification, coordination of trades, and safety/quality efforts.
• Engage in networking, education classes (including software training), and corporate responsibility initiatives.
