Based in Westerville, Ohio, Lehman Daman Construction Services (L/D) is a commercial general contractor focused on constructing and renovating facilities in healthcare, commercial office, hospitality, education, industrial, and other market segments.

Job Description

L/D is expanding our footprint by opening an office in Dayton, and we are seeking our first General Manager (GM) for this location. We have completed several projects in the Dayton area and see significant growth potential. We aim to achieve this by hiring and investing in local talent. The Dayton GM will collaborate with our Westerville team to develop and execute a regional strategy that will contribute to our overall success.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the establishment and growth of our Dayton office, including strategic planning, business development, and market expansion.
  2. Build and manage a team of construction professionals, including project managers, estimators, superintendents, and others.
  3. Develop and maintain a network of decision-makers and influencers in target markets; prospect for potential projects within this network.
  4. Serve as the primary contact for Dayton-based projects; initially, may act as Project Manager.
  5. Develop and nurture relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  6. Promote L/D safety culture and ensure compliance with safety policies.
  7. Lead or support estimates and proposals for Dayton projects.
  8. Participate in strategic and operational initiatives to enhance and grow the company.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management.
  • 10+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry.
  • 7+ years of experience in the Dayton, Ohio construction market.
  • Leadership experience within a company or organization is required.
